Hello!
It's been a while! I've been busy at school, and doing tech for shows, and having 12 hours of work a day, and not only has it exhausted me and made me busy but it has also drained my brain.
I will have some posts tonight, but in the meantime, a brief thought in my mind was what is the difference between an artist and a designer?
I feel that in a hobbyist circumstance there isn't much, but when it comes to larger scale, designers are better at the conceptualization of something, the arrangement, the how and the why, whereas artists are more capable of getting that done. They know how to draw, use the software, paint, sculpt, etc. But then comes other forms of art, like music, film, theater, clothing, etc. And those are a whole other deal. It is also fairly subjective what counts as what, but I do believe there is a difference.
Anyways, just some small food for thought, but I just wanted to say I haven't fallen off the edge of the Earth.
