Random Thoughts of the Day: July 27th 2019

I find it so odd that there is so much that we have made. Like beds. And chairs. Not sure why, but it's amazing to think that it was all made.
Also driving is pretty scary. It's a lot of fun, but every once and a while it's a little frightening, because you realize you are in control of a big, massive thing. And there are other people in them too, and you never know what will happen.

Random Thoughts of the Day: July 23rd 2019

I haven't realized completely how much stuff there is thrown away/not used. And not talking about trash, but about things like equipment. There are cranes, trucks, etc available to buy from places that don't need them. There are entire plane graveyards with huge planes that are no longer used and just sit. Same with car scrapyards, and so many other things. Anyways, just a small thought I had, Maybe getting things used and reusing would help, but not sure if it would be feasible or useful to reuse a lot of the stuff.

Random Thoughts of the Day: July 17th 2019

I was thinking about how companies make such a wide variety of things. Like Hitachi makes hard drives as well as saws. Samsung makes TVs and phones which isn't a huge difference, but it's just interesting how varied some companies' products can be. Also the fact that there are so many video games that are so different also. I guess I'm just always amazed at how much stuff there is in the world.

Random Thoughts of the Day: July 14th 2019

Credit cards are so weird, because if everyone who had one used it well then the company wouldn't really make much money, and we like them because they give us the ability to spend what we don't have, but that little piece of plastic is still worth so much, even though it represents something we don't have. Also furniture is large. I was building a 5ft tall bookshelf for a show and didn't really realize how big it was till I stood on it. Next is a 7ft one, and then a 9ft perch. Which doesn't sound super big, but it's huge. Standing on a ladder 9ft up is high up. And on a perch with no railings or protective thing is kinda scary. Anyways, that's that. Sorry, works been busy. Hope everyone is having a good weekend and nice summer.

Random Thoughts of the Day: July 9th 2019

I have no real perception of distance. I've talked about how distances like a mile still seem big, but then I think about how big the world is, even how big the county I live in is. There is just so much space with so little there, and it amazes me when I look on Google Maps for somewhere that I know is close to the city I live in, but it's really not that close. Anyways, just a small thing.
Also, I really like video games, and sometimes people find that weird, and thought I understand why people don't like video games, it's odd when someone just fully doesn't understand why I enjoy them. It's like a board game on a screen, or a book or movie that I am in, or a real life activity or job that I can't actually do. I feel like everyone does something like this, even if it's not a video game.

Random Thoughts of the Day: July 6th 2019

Social media is odd. There are so many types of it, and they go through so many weird phases, some longer than others. Some are for life, some are for pictures, some for communication and some just for fun. I always wonder why they change, and why they go from one to another that is almost exactly the same. Kids get older and lead to another group of kids who want something else, or are used to something else. Anyways, just an interesting thing I was thinking about.

Random Thoughts of the Day: July 3rd 2019

When do people decide what they want to do. I know it's not a thing that everyone has, or that they ever make, but I just wonder if it ever really happens. Do people ever find their passion? Or are they ever satisfied? Anyways, just a little bit of an existential crisis.

Random Thoughts of the Day: June 30th 2019

I went to a pride parade today, and it was fun but I found it weird how many corporate floats there were. Not that it's bad that companies put money into it, but I just wonder why they do. Is it beneficial to them or to the people? Or is it just a PR sort of thing. But yeah, just interesting. Also, how does the fact that there are so many companies in the world still baffle me. Like I know there are lots of things to do and all that but like I mentioned yesterday, I just lose sight of that, and it really is quite impressive how many areas of work there are in the world.
