Random Thoughts of the Day: January 19th 2021

Something off topic from the pandemic and the world situation is underwear.

People usually say underwear when they refer to underpants, but technically bras are also considered underwear. And I wonder if it is a different point of view between people who wear bras and people who don't. There are also other things that are considered, but I think that often it is people who only wear underpants who call them underwear. And I wonder if it is confusing in conversation.

Another thing more related to the current state of things, I am quite worried about riots and things on the 20th. I think that it should just happen peacefully, and violent actions rather than peaceful protests should not happen. Protesting calmly is the way our country works, and rioting and fighting does nothing but anger more people. Anyways, just some thoughts. Thanks all

Random Thoughts of the Day: January 15th 2021

Goodness... 2020 was a time. Happy New Year. It's almost been a year since I last posted, sorry about that. Hoping to start posting more frequently now. There are lots of things to talk about in terms of the past year. SO many things have happened in the world, in the US, to me, and to everyone I know. I think that the topic of the world coming together and trying to beat this, and how the lifestyle of quarantine and social distancing has practically become normal. People went from "oh it'll be over soon" and "we'll just be in quarantine for another month" to often not even acknowledging it anymore. This is all of course based off of my life and my experiences. The whole world has shifted and I'm really interested to see how these changes remain in the years to come, like online work and school, less traveling, movies and theater, concerts, and so much more. The end of this is coming soon but isn't going to be easy. One thing, a friend mentioned when this first started, before the lockdowns really took place, (I remember because we were talking in person with many people in the room. What a wild idea.) and he said that if this were a simulation or a game, this would be a very interesting social experiment. But anyways.

I know we'll get through the troubles still to come but yeah, hope everyone is doing well.

Random Thoughts of the Day: February 2nd 2020

Scary how the world could fall apart at any moment because of a disease... Probably won't, but that everything is actually so fragile and can be changed and broken pretty easily.
On a lighter note, I was thinking about how skincare is such a complicated, huge thing. There are so many creams, ointments, facemasks, oils, everything. It seems there is so much. And to be completely honest I don't understand half of it. I use some stuff, but bare minimum. I didn't even use face wash until not even 2 years ago.
But yeah, just a thought.

Random Thoughts of the Day: January 25th 2020

Sorry it's been a while, having class and trying to get back into the schedule of life.
One thing that's been on my mind is why do we floss after brushing our teeth? If you floss beforehand then afterwards you can get rid of anything that comes out.
Small thought, but yeah. Hopefully going to post one more thing later in the day.

Random Thoughts of the Day: January 9th 2020

I hate dust. I hate coming home and just seeing things lined with a small or big layer of dust. Even just a bit bugs me. Because it's going to get everywhere, get on things and on me. And it just appears. In a clean room, nothing happens, and it just seems to grow from the furniture and be there.
I know there are things that can lower how much there is, but still. It's always there.
Also, it's hard to get rid of. If you use dry cloth or paper towels it can just get pushed somewhere else, and dusters just get it everywhere, and even using a wet paper towel it can still just end up not leaving.
Anyways, that's a rant on dust. It's bothersome.

Random Thoughts of the Day: January 7th 2020

Wow so it's been a while. It's 2020. I am hopefully going to write more often, every other day is the goal. We'll see, but yeah.

Current thought: isn't it sort of funny in a way that there are rules about war? I believe it shows quite the advancement from the past.
I'll start by saying war is bad.
But the fact that there are rules to make war more as a way to hopefully resolve something instead of just pure chaos and destruction of everything.
These rules tend to be followed, and I think it makes us better. Ideally there wouldn't be war, or maybe it would just be robots.
This was just a quick thought I had, but I find it interesting.

Random Thoughts of the Day: November 18th 2019

How do people consume media? People want fast, people want emotional, people want action, and people want so much. In class we were discussing how people experience entertainment, especially live, like theater and music. People like flashy and grandiose, and they also like things that are emotionally accessible. There is definitely a generational/age gap of who enjoys what types of entertainment, and how much attention they have.
This transfers to what people think is boring, and thus what people who make the content will do.
A short thought that I will likely expand on soon, but yeah.

Random Thoughts of the Day: November 14th 2019

So Google Stadia, the Google game streaming platform that comes out pre launch in a little under a week, has been on my mind. Many news outlets and people have been criticizing it because of some features it won't have. Now I understand that if something is being released and it doesn't have all the things it advertised that's a little annoying.
But the thing is it's not being released. It's being pre released. Their website says you will get to play games in "early access". That means it's not released. You will get to use the service and play the games before it's launched. It's a privilege and those who paid for it should know the potential risks. It won't be perfect. Most things that are officially released aren't even close to perfect. But you get to play around with it for a bit before it comes out. And you get some other neat things for investing in it early.
So I don't understand why people can complain or criticize the early features. Again, if it's someone who paid then they should have been aware, and if it's just a news outlets then they should understand that it's early access.
That's it, just a small rant about people being kind of dumb in my opinion.
